Raynaud's phenomenon is a vascular disorder of unknown origin that causes intermittent interruption of blood flow to the extremities - legs and/or hands - leading to... gangrene, usually in fingers, toes, nose, or ears.

More common in women, who account for 60 to 90 percent of all cases, Raynaud's phenomenon usually occurs in response to cold or emotion. The affected body part may turn white or blue and feel cold and numb. This may last for several minutes. After circulation improves, the affected body parts may become flushed and red for a time.

Within six (6) weeks, vascularity in this man's feet was increased by 86 per cent, and pulse volume - by per cent. Considering the fact that impaired cirulation in the extremities is difficult to treat, to see such a high degree of response in only six weeks is most significant.
